Until recently, I was still using the wet n wild tinted moisturizer I reviewed a while back, but it was too dark once I stopped fake tanning. When looking for a replacement, I saw this foundation at Rite Aid. I know what I’ve said about foundations in the past, but this one is fifty percent water so I thought I’d give it a shot.
Since it consists of water instead of oil, this makeup is supposed to be more skin-friendly and not cause breakouts. My current acne issues are not makeup-related, so I’m not sure how true that is. What I like about it is that I can’t feel it on my face. It also gives good coverage, and definitely hides those aforementioned breakouts.
Maybelline also says that this product reduces shine. I’ve been using a finishing powder over it and still winding up shiny. I’m not sure I can blame the makeup for that, however, and at least it’s not worse than usual for this time of year. The foundation does keep my face even-toned and smooth under the shine, which is more than I usually expect.
So there you have it. I found a foundation that I don’t hate. As a bonus, Rite at is having a BOGO on this product. I’m not sure if that’s in-store or online only, but it makes this a good time to try it out.

Totally unrelated to this post but I just wanted to say that I’ve been meaning to look for the widget for the “You might like these stories” feature and I just saw it here and had to grab it. Thank you!!
I’m so curious if people actually click on these…I guess we’ll see!
I’m having trouble with the widget…it doesn’t seem to like my blog and keeps disappearing
I took it off because it kept recommending the post it was on and weird stuff like that, and I’m pretty sure it’s thrown off my AdSense. :/
